I created "Social Effects" as my Final Major project in the 2nd year of College. I wanted to show how Social Media effects young people in society today. I wanted to express that it's okay to be your natural self and you don't need to use filters! I was inspired by "Insane51" on instagram, who creates 3D art work. The meaning behind my posters is that the blue side reflects on how we present ourselves on the outside (what we see on social media). It shows a fake reality of your own or someone else's life. The red side of the poster is your true self natural, unedited, realistic. The 3D glasses resembles a filter to able you to see the difference between the blue and red. When people go on social media to show a fake reality it can make someone else feel bad about themselves. The text that is shown on the posters and the zine are facts, statements and statistics.
